Light-curable resins for SLA and 3DP should generally have the following properties:

1. Low viscosity and good fluidity, which is conducive to resin leveling or spraying;

2. The curing speed is fast, and the curing speed directly affects the molding efficiency and indirectly affects the economic benefits;

3. The curing shrinkage is small, and the curing process of liquid resin will produce shrinkage, resulting in warping and deformation of the cured parts, which will affect the molding accuracy;

There are also differences between SLA and 3DP light-curable resins:

1. The solid and supporting material of SLA is a resin; In addition to the solid resin, the 3DP must also have a support resin, and the support resin needs to be easy to remove.

2. The viscosity of SLA's light-curing resin is slightly larger, as long as the leveling is good; The light-curing resin of 3DP has a very low viscosity and can be easily sprayed from the nozzle.

3. SLA's light-curing resins generally do not contain other additives except polymerization inhibitors; In order for 3DP light-curing resin to be able to be sprayed from the nozzle hole of 50um, additives such as surfactants, wetting agents, dispersants, anti-settling agents and polymerization inhibitors need to be added to maintain stable spraying for a long time.

4. The cured part of SLA light-curing resin is immersed in liquid light-curing resin, so it should have good tensile resistance; On the other hand, 3DP is to spray liquid light-curing resin on the cured support or solid resin and cure, and the layer-to-layer binding performance is good.

4. After curing, the physical and mechanical properties of the material are good;

5. Low toxicity to ensure the health of the operator.

PEGDA with long carbon chain (molecular weight of PEG 2000-10000) is a biocompatible light-curing resin material that can be developed into a biocompatible light-curing resin material that can be used in the SLA molding process, and other biocompatible polymer materials with light-curing properties include: polyacrylic acid, chondroitin sulfate methacrylate, chondroitin sulfate that can be photocrosslinked, polypropylene glycol diacrylate, polytetramethylene glycol diacrylate, polyethylene oxide, etc. In principle, all biopolymer materials with light-curing properties have the potential to be developed into light-curable resin materials that can be used in SLA processes.

The light-curing resin used in 3DP is an imported product on the market, and due to its high price, some users can afford to buy a 3D printer, but they can't afford to use it, which limits the promotion of 3D printing technology in China. Recently, Jiaxing Huapu Plastic Industry Co., Ltd. has finally developed this light-curing resin after long-term research and development, which is made of unsaturated polyester resin, acrylic epoxy polyester resin and tung oleic anhydride and other materials. After testing, the graphics designed on the CAD screen on the computer can be "printed" with this light-curing resin as the printer's "ink", and the three-dimensional model can be obtained after 2 hours, which can completely replace the light-curing resin for 3DP produced abroad. Its price is less than 20 yuan/kg, which is only one-tenth of similar foreign products.
