UV anti-fouling and anti-graffiti coatings can generally be divided into two types, one is high-gloss and the other is matte. According to the principle of interfacial mechanics, in order to achieve anti-fouling and anti-graffiti, the surface of the coating must have a sufficiently low surface tension, and the other requirement is that the density of the coating is extremely high, so as not to penetrate the oil-based pen ink.

The HC8003 silicone UV resin developed by our company can reduce the surface tension of the interface with very low levels, and at the same time, it can also participate in cross-linking and curing into a film to achieve a permanent anti-fouling effect.

However, the viscosity of this formula is too high, and there will be roll marks when the roller coating.

Conclusion: fast curing, curing energy less than 100mj, gloss ≦ 15 degrees, dense coating, good stain resistance, after wiping the surface with solvent, there is still good stain resistance. The thickness of the roller coating is 5-7um, (5-8 grams per square), and the gloss is lower.

In summary, when making high-gloss varnish and anti-staining, an appropriate amount of active amine can be added to the formula to promote better surface density. When doing matte, as much as possible to add high functional monomer, easy to dull and increase density; the amount of silicone resin should not be too much, can achieve a small surface tension, too much will cause cross-linking density is not enough, the phenomenon of ink bleeding; the amount of initiator as much as possible, so as to effectively resist the effect of oxygen inhibition polymerization, but should not add active amine, otherwise the luster is difficult to eliminate.
